Vectorworks 2014 on the Road
A Tale of BIM, Vectorworks 2014 and Upcoming Webinars
Since the release of Vectorworks 2014 on 17th September, the world of Design Software Solutions has been on fast forward, responding to enquiries from new users and existing users alike. The month after the launch of a new Vectorworks release is always busy, but this has been the busiest year ever. Possibly the evergrowing world of BIM is partly responsible. Certainly the NBS BIM survey of 2013 indicates more and more practices migrating to BIM workflows— and Vectorworks 2014 is ideally positioned to help in that journey.
In addition, we have also had an exhausting timetable of shows and conferences including:
- 100% Design — our second year at this fantastic event for Architects and Interior Designers. Those of you following us on Facebook may have seen some of the other exhibitors' stands. Vectorworks has always been incredibly popular in interior design and after another successful show, we have already booked our stand for next year.
- PLASA — this year moved to ExCel from Earl's Court and, possibly because it was in a larger space, the show felt smaller, but we were kept busy showing some of the great new features in Spotlight.
- These shows were followed by our own Vectorworks Annual Conferences for Architects and Interior Designers, Landscape Architects and Garden Designers, hosted in our new Newbury office and then the Scottish Vectorworks Conference.
It's true to say that the new features of Vectorworks 2014, including enhanced BIM capabilities are proving popular. After each of the shows above, we have run follow-up webinars to demonstrate in more detail how Vectorworks can streamline workflow and enable collaboration, regardless of the particular design discipline.
Moving on, we plan to launch a regular webinar series, focusing on specific areas each month. If there are any apsects of Vectorworks you would like us to cover during the series, please contact me by email at email@example.com or call us on 0845 003 7066.
