Junior Landscape Designer / Office Administrator

One of our clients is looking for a enthusiastic, energetic landscape/garden design student or landscape/garden design graduate for initial freelance work either 1 day or 2 half-days per week to assist with office admin and landscape design in their home-based office in a rural location on a farm.

Responsibilities will include office administration such as filing, tracking project development and costings, project management and collating resources. Additional responsibilities include technical work in Vectorworks Landmark such as planting plans, construction details, creating templates and some 3D modelling in Vectorworks or Sketchup.

The successful candidate will be an Apple Macintosh user, will be enthusiastic with previous work experience (in any industry). A background in the Arts, Music or Mathematics would be of particular interest. Strong Vectorworks Landmark skills are essential in a person who is happy to work in a quiet rural location in Oxfordshire with opportunities to be involved in a wide variety of projects.

Junior Garden Designer / Office Administrator

Janine Pattison Garden Design, one of the UKs leading garden design practices, has a vacancy for a junior garden designer. To coincide with the opening of their new retail design studios in Bournemouth, they are now looking for two reliable, enthusiastic people to join their busy and happy team. Reporting to the Creative Director, the Junior Garden Designer will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Site surveys and site analysis
  • Drawing up site surveys electronically for the design team
  • Importing dwg. files for the design team and setting up templates
  • Preparing landscape plans, schedules and reports
  • Office administrative tasks, including: screening in-coming calls, greeting clients, provide refreshments for the team, ordering supplies, maintenance of studio equipment, general office tidiness, organising post and deliveries
You will need a basic knowledge of Vectorworks Landmark 2012, and be technically minded. A very friendly and ‘can-do’ person, you will be well presented, highly organised, flexible and enjoy working with a dynamic team but also capable of working independently. Interior Designers

We have been contacted by one of our London-based clients, who have two vacancies for Interior Designers. These are full-time positions, based in London. This is a creative role and candidates must have previous interior design experience coupled with excellent Vectorworks skills, including the ability to work in 3D.     We run regular Vectorworks public training courses where you can learn Vectorworks with other deisgners. Often from other design disciplines, you will meet other Vectorworks users and perhaps forge new working relationships. Our Foundation Course is usually a good starting point if you are a beginner.
