Vectorworks 2011 for Interior Designers
For interior designers, the changes in Vectorworks 2011 are all about speed. If you get involved in space planning, the Space tool has had a serious makeover. If you get involved in specifying changes to the internal structure of a building, the changes to the Wall tool will make a huge difference to you. You'll be able to control the 3D elements of walls independently as well as correctly display the wall for different end conditions.
Scalable symbols will be a huge bonus for you. WIthout having to become an expert in 3D modeling, you'll be able to use the standard symbols in the library and scale them to fit. For example, you want to use a sofa symbol but you need to make it wider while retaining its width. Once placed, the symbol can be scaled asymmetrically allowing you to adjust just one dimension.
But of course rendering high quality visuals is very important in the interior design industry. Renderworks, the built-in rendering engine has been enhanced to include CINEMA4D. Improvements in speed and quality are immediately apparent. The interface is similar to Renderworks in previous versions, but much simplified.
Our Vectorworks courses for Interior Designers are already updated to Vectorworks 2011 and we're looking forward to getting you up and running fast.
